Summer Events in Cary/Apex


{April 30, 2013}—Check out some of the upcoming events in the area! 


Cary Downtown Farmers Market—Every Saturday and Tuesday

                Open NOW-November 23, every Saturday from 8AM to 12:30PM and every Tuesday from 2PM to 6PM, located at the corner of Academy Street and Park Street. 


8th Annual Sequins and Spurs Fundraising Gala—May 3, 2013  6PM

                Put on for the Horse and Buddy Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program at the Prestonwood Country Club.  The event will include live music and dancing, dinner, and silent & live auctions.  Tickets are available at www.horseandbuddy.org/gala.htm


Apex Peak Fest—May 4, 2013  9AM-5PM

                This annual “arts and crafts” festival includes fun, food, and fellowship.  It is located in downtown Apex at Salem Street.

Lyle Lovett Concert—May 4, 2013  5PM

                Lyle Lovett will be performing at the Booth Amphitheatre in Cary.  Tickets are available at the Booth Amphitheatre between 12PM and 6PM or through www.etix.com


Peak City Pig Fest—June 21-22, 2013

                This even is a Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned contest.  Barbeque and pig races included!  It is located in downtown Apex at Salem Street.

Epicurious Vino Challenge—June 29, 2013 6PM-10PM

                Held at the Hinnant Family Vineyards in Pine Level, NC to help a child or adult with disabilities lead an extraordinary life.  Professional chefs will compete using a Hinnant Family Vineyards wine as the main ingredient.  The event will include music, a full bar and signature martinis, silent & live auctions, and prizes.  Tickets are available through Debbie Valentine—(919)-803-2960.
